What Is The Portal?
The Portal is a central place for viewing and using information and resources
held on the school network and its extensive collection of databases. It offers
summarised information about timetables, library records, attendance, web browsing
history, school news and homework, as well as giving secure access to files stored
on the schools file servers.
As a student you will only see information about yourself and have access to your
own files. As a parent or guardian, you will be able to access information about
your children, with the assurance that this information is kept secure and only
accessible by yourselves.
All this and much more is now easily available and better still, The Portal
allows you to customise your experience by setting up e-mail alerts or customising
your homepage so that you see what you want, when you want and how you want!
Is It Secure?
The Portal is protected by multiple layers of security:
Industry Standard 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer Encryption - All data transferred
to and from your computer and our servers is secured using strong encryption algorithms
to protect the data.
A Network Firewall - Detecting and blocking malicious hackers and logging
all access to and from The Portal.

vulnerabilities as soon as they occur and are kept locked away in secure rooms.
Anti-Virus Protection - All of the computers on our network are protected
by enterprise level virus scanning software. We also recommend you have antivirus
software installed and updated for maximum security.

not be disclosed to anyone. If you think your account has been comprimised contact
us immediately.
At no time will be display a student's personal information other than their firstname,
any other personal information such as address details will never be displayed.

How Do I Get Access?
Getting access to The Portal as a student is easy, use your usual username
and password you use in school!
If you are a parent or guardian, you can get access by filling in one of our registration
forms. Return it to the school and we will post your username and password to the
address we have recorded in our database for you.
Other than your username and password, all you need is a computer with a modern web
browser such as Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0 or Mozilla Firefox.
