Unit 2: Henry VIII: Authority, Nation and Religion 1509-1529

2009 will be the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's ascension to the throne. As part of the new A level syllabus, this brand new unit is all about Henry VIII. As part of the AS History course, year 12 students will examine how England's most famous King ruled his lands during the tumultuous 16th century.

The unit covers both his domestic policy and his foreign policy. Students will take the unit 2 exam in January 2009. It consists of a two part source question that asks students to use source material toanswer questions about his reign.
